Description is totally accurate. Arrived looking great and already assembled. It's easy to adjust, and great for reading for class. I can use it next to my sink, while cooking, or in bed. I'm VERY happy with the purchase. It not only holds my smaller books, but my huge law school textbooks and allows my laptop to sit at an angle that better for the fan to keep the unit cool.

The product works flawlessly, as users have overwhelmingly indicated. However, the price point seems inconsistent with the quality of the materials. The stand is comprised of two wooden boards. The back board (on which the spine rests) is a mere quarter inch thick, perhaps less. The adjustable stand is made of plastic. The only metal parts are the screws that hold the stand together and hinges that allow the stand to fold up.
Five stars for functionality, but an unreasonable price turns what would be a great deal into a questionable buy. I am a law student and don't have the money to justify spending so much on something that isn't built to last, and a drop on the floor could easily be the end of this bookstand.

Who would've thought that a book stand would be one of my top five purchases of the year!
This stand solved all my ergonomic and other practical problems of simultaneous reading and note-taking with heavyweight law books - even the 1800+ page Con Law book which started me on the search for such solution.
Sturdy and solid enough in design, to hold these books securely in various good reading positions, and allow highlighting without toppling; with bottom lip also wide enough to support gravitational pull; and with page holders with enough rotation, spring and tension to keep me on the right page, even when near the unbalanced beginning or end of the book and even in an outside breeze - this easily relieves my hands for other tasks while reading/studying - especially for laptop duty. This stand has been a major eye/neck/back and time saver.
And it's good looking - enough so that when I've left a book on it and return, I realize that it could even just offer a great display touch to any home or business that wants to gracefully show a special book in an open position. Also it folds flatly enough to put into my bag for library study. A great value at the price!

I just picked up piano again and unfortunately my keyboard didn't come with a book stand. That said, this is perfect! I can put it in different positions, set it on my keyboard, and play my heart out. =] Also, I'm an avid vegan baker and cook so this will be perfect for setting my cookbook on a stand instead of pinning it down with a jar. =]
Another great thing: I literally ordered this yesterday afternoon and received it today before 5pm. Excellent!!!
