kicks butt! perfect backpacking machette. i heard some complaints of "cheap handle". it's not true. i have tested it and it has held up perfectly. the saw back is a little iffy but it looks cool and i din't buy it to saw through s*** i bought it to chop light/medium brush and be a useful light,easy to pack backpacking tool.

This knife looks great. When I took it out of the box my son exclaimed "Good God, that's a big knife." The serrated edge was the reason I brought it, but I agree with everyone who questioned its durability. The blade is not that thick, but for the price I paid I'm very happy.

First off the knife I received looks a little different than the picture. The handle has a smoother more contoured look and feel, not "plasticy" at all. It is a solid hard rubber-like material that is securely bonded to the tang that passes through and out the back to the pommel. The serrations are almost twice as long near the base as the picture, and the tip of the blade extends a little further. The lettering on the side of the blade is less prominent than the large, bright ones pictured. My guess is the picture was an early model that's been improved on. It is exactly what it's described to be, a "Fusion" of a machete, survival knife, limb saw, and hammer. Of course it's too big to gut a small fish or clean your toe nails, but the extra pocket on the sheath is perfect to carry a small folder. I was also able to fit a Smiths combo sharpener in there as well. It's light but solid and it's a SOG! I'm glad they came out with a more affordable line of products, we all can't afford $200 knives! Anyway, I'm keeping this knife right next to my 72 hour survival pack. I may never use it but I'm glad to have it for the next "Big one" whatever that may be.

This knife is BIG, but not too big. Perfect for "camping", intimitation or just plain fun! I love it sooo much that i bought two. Why two? Well why not? The other hand felt lonely.

It could use a little more width near the middle of blade, but you can hack, stick, chop an enemy, or animal with it. Sharpen it real good, and you have a pretty good weapon. I was sent this while overseas, and yes it came in handy. You can scalp s/one really easy if its as sharp as it could be. CrzyHrse D Co. 2-327, 101st Air-Assault [LRS Det. 2] Use gloves if ur using it where blood is involved, there is a lower guard, but ur hand can slip up top. I also have an Air Force survival knife. Very good, you never know when ur gonna need a certain "tool" to do a job.
